U.S. Air Force Mass Prophylaxis Point of Dispensing

When an Air Force installation is struck with an unexplained outbreak of pneumonic plague, the Wing Commander orders the medical staff to “activate the POD.” In the fight against epidemics the Point of Dispensing (POD) is the military’s foremost weapon – the site for screening the installation population and distributing medication or administrating vaccine. A POD can be set up at a wide range of facilities. This live-action training video provides crucial information for planning and implementing a POD at any Air Force installation.
